About you
As a Test Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of testing and validating customer machines to ensure that the machines meet quality standards and the customer specifications.
You will use and complete the required test sheets, works instructions and other quality and compliance documentation to test machinery and ensure that they are working in line with our own very high standards and machine typical specifications.
As a test engineer you will also be required to attend and run machines at various exhibitions, demonstrations and factory acceptance events.
The applicant must a great communicator as you will need at times to communicate issues with our customer, suppliers, and other internal departments.
You will also occasionally be required to travel (including foreign travel) to other ABG sites, customer sites, and exhibitions as a specialist and expert of ABG product.
About the role
You will be a confident person and capable in speaking and presenting to groups of people as you demonstrate the machines both in person and over video link.
You must have excellent attention to detail and be accurate in your capture of data, you must organized and structured and have the ability able to prioritise work to effectively meet tight deadlines.
You must be a great communicator and an excellent team player and able to work confidently on your own and with the team to find solutions and process improvements.
Our candidate should hold a strong engineering qualification ideally HNC or (up to degree level), and preferably have some relevant experience of machine running and testing (ideally, labels, print or packaging)
