About You
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading a team of four dedicated team leaders while driving and implementing our operational strategy to ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
This position requires a strong background in the label print finishing industry, coupled with a commitment to continuous improvement and customer relations.
Whilst the position is based at our Carnaby headquarters, due to the nature of the role there will be extensive UK travel required.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of four team leaders, fostering a positive and productive work environment while ensuring alignment with the company’s operational strategy and goals.
- Operational Strategy: Drive and implement effective operational strategies that enhance service delivery, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Identify areas for improvement and apply best practices within the team.
- Customer Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on a day-to-day basis. Utilising previous technical knowledge and expertise from working in the label print finishing industry, provide customers with tailored solutions to resolve problems and trouble shoot issues.
- Technical Expertise: Apply in-depth understanding of label print finishing processes to guide teams in delivering high-quality service and support to customers, ensuring effective communication and knowledge transfer.
- Reporting: Regularly report on operational performance, customer feedback, and team progress to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for future initiatives.
Experience / Qualifications
- HNC in engineering discipline or equivalent
- Proven experience in a service management role within machine or label print industry manufacturing.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Technical knowledge of relevant machinery and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
