About you
We are seeking a proactive, problem-solving Cyber Security Lead to manage and enhance our IT security systems. In this role, you will provide advanced technical support across hardware, software and network systems, with a primary focus on security. This includes both 1st/2nd/3rd line support and working with the IT Manager to develop the security strategy.
This is a 1st line management position where you will troubleshoot complex issues, support internal teams and contribute to global IT projects. You will manage and support the security of our infrastructure including Windows 11, Windows Server (2016-2022), Linux, Microsoft 365, networking systems (firewalls, switches, WAPs) and more. Expertise in Active Directory, VPNs, firewalls, virtualisation, project management, security tools, ITIL, ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials is essential.
With 5+ years of experience in IT support and cyber security, relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, ITIL, VMware, or Microsoft 365 are highly advantageous. This is an office-based role, split between our Bridlington and Driffield sites. Hybrid working will be considered
About the role
As the Cyber Security Lead, you will be responsible for managing the threat landscape and shaping the security strategy to protect the organisation’s information and systems. You will ensure the integrity and availability of IT systems, including project management and implementing changes in line with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials standards. This is a pivotal role in advancing our cyber security roadmap and keeping our systems secure.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide expert IT support, resolve complex technical issues and ensure the smooth operation of systems. In addition, you’ll drive IT best practices, mentor colleagues, document processes and contribute to continuous improvements in support efficiency, system reliability and user satisfaction.
